Legal & compliance
The fine print.
In plain sight.
Clear terms for a clear relationship. Everything that governs your account, in one place and without the runaround.
Terms of service
These terms govern your use of the Aurelia Markets trading platform and related services. By opening an account or using the platform, you agree to be bound by them. They should be read together with the client agreement and the documents listed below.
Your agreement is personal. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity carried out through your account. Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.
1. About these terms
Aurelia Markets Ltd provides the services described on this website. Our registered office is at 12 Bishopsgate, London EC2N 4AG. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the English courts, unless the law applicable in your country requires otherwise.
2. Eligibility and account opening
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding agreement. We may ask for information to verify your identity, address, source of funds and suitability for the products you intend to trade. Accounts are subject to review and approval.
3. Your account and security
You may only use the platform for your own account, unless we have agreed otherwise in writing. Keep your credentials confidential, enable the security features available to you and review your account activity regularly. We may suspend access where we reasonably believe there is a security, legal or regulatory concern.
4. Orders, execution and market risk
Orders are transmitted to our execution venues according to the order execution policy. Prices may move between the moment an order is submitted and the moment it is filled. Slippage, gaps and partial fills can occur, particularly around news events and outside core market hours.
5. Fees, charges and financing
Our account fees, spreads and commissions are set out on the accounts page and in your client agreement. Overnight financing may apply to positions held past the daily rollover. Third-party charges, taxes and payment provider fees may also apply. We will give reasonable notice of changes to our charges.
6. Closing your account
You may close your account by contacting us, provided no positions remain open and no amounts are outstanding. We may close or restrict an account where required by law, where these terms are breached or where we cannot continue to provide the service. Closure does not affect rights and obligations that arose before it.
7. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms to reflect changes in law, regulation, market practice or our services. Where a change is material, we will give at least 30 days' notice before it takes effect, unless a shorter period is required by law.
Privacy policy
We take the handling of personal information seriously. This policy explains what we collect, why we use it and the choices available to you. It applies to information collected through this website, the platform and our client support channels.
Information we collect
- Identity and contact details you provide when you apply for an account.
- Information needed to verify your identity, address and source of funds.
- Trading activity, account balances, funding instructions and platform usage.
- Technical data such as device type, browser, IP address and interaction logs.
- Records of communications with our support, account and compliance teams.
How we use your information
We use personal information to provide and administer your account, execute your instructions, meet legal and regulatory obligations, prevent fraud and financial crime, improve the platform and communicate with you about your account or relevant services. We do not sell your personal information.
Sharing information
We may share information with service providers, banks and payment providers, execution venues, professional advisers and regulators where necessary and lawful. All providers are required to protect the information they receive and use it only for the agreed purpose.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal information, to object to certain processing or to receive a portable copy. To exercise a right, contact support@aurelia-markets.com. You may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Security and retention
We use technical and organisational controls designed to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss or misuse. We retain records for as long as required by law and regulation, and for as long as necessary to resolve enquiries and protect our legal rights.
Risk disclosure
CFDs are not suitable for everyone. Between 74% and 89% of retail investor accounts lose money when trading CFDs with providers in this sector. You should not trade with money you cannot afford to lose.
Trading leveraged products involves a high degree of risk. The value of your positions can move rapidly against you, and losses can exceed your initial deposit. Negative balance protection applies to retail clients, but it does not protect against losing your entire account balance.
Leverage and margin
Leverage magnifies both gains and losses. A small movement in the underlying market can have a disproportionately large effect on your account. If your account falls below the required margin, we may issue a margin call and close positions to bring your account back within requirements.
Market gaps and volatility
Markets can gap over weekends, holidays and major news events. Stops are not guaranteed and may be filled at the next available price, which can be materially different from the requested level. Volatility may also cause spreads to widen significantly.
Liquidity and execution
Underlying market conditions can affect the price at which an order is executed. Thin liquidity or a venue outage may result in delayed execution, requotes or partial fills. Past execution performance is not a guarantee of future results.
No investment advice
Information on this website is provided for general information and is not investment, tax or legal advice. We do not assess the suitability of any instrument for your personal circumstances unless we are required to do so by regulation. Seek independent advice if you are unsure.
